About
Steven Murphy is a designer/maker specialising in use of hot forged metal. Having graduated in 2008 with a BA (hons) in Artist Blacksmithing, Steven spent 18 months working for Ironart of Bath with other blacksmiths and metalworkers to improve his skills and gain knowledge of the business.
Using a mix of both traditional and contemporary metal working techniques Steven creates individual design lead works which draw heavily from his influences while remaining sympatheic to the enviroment they will be displayed/used in.

Videos of Tannaghmore Gates Project May 2011
Videos of the Tannaghmore Blacksmiths Workshop working on a project for tannaghmore farm. Over 8 months members of the public who had never tried blacksmithing before helped to create a set of farm theme gates for Tannaghmore Farm and Gardens. The workshops are lead by myself and Eamon Higgins and run by Craigavon Borough Council.
Demonstrating At Castleward April 2011
I will be demonstrating down at the Castleward Easter Fair on the 24th, 25th and 26th April come along and see me in action.
